Ever wanted to have sex with one of your Facebook friends? If so I’ve got the perfect application for you.
Bang With Friends launched just a few days ago and promises to hook you up with friends who are interested in having sex with you.
The service is pretty simple, you sign up anonymously using your Facebook account and then you’re presented with a page with the prompt ‘Skip the chatting, and get to smacking those cheeks! Which of your friends do you want to bang?‘. Here you have the opportunity to select which of your friends you’re ‘down to bang‘. The application won’t tell the other party that you’re interested in them unless they also sign up, log in and select that they’re interested in having sex with you. Doing this allows users to find someone to ‘bang’ but only if the feeling is mutual. When a match is found an email is sent to both parties, the rest is up to them.
The application was created by 3 developers who for now would like to remain anonymous and already has over 20,000 users signed up with over 1000 matches found so far. The idea came to them when they were trying to work out the problem with the more traditional online dating websites like Match.com and realised that ‘What a lot of people want is just to skip all the shit and get to the sex‘. ‘It would be great, as guys, if you could find out which girls are actually into you and not dance around anything‘.
Bang With Friends hasn’t been without its fair share of issues so far, the application initially didn’t take into account the presence of family members amongst a user’s friends and also at present the application doesn’t take into account sexual orientation, only allowing users to connect with those of the opposite sex or those who have chosen not to share their gender on Facebook. The developers insist that they support the LGBT community and say ‘we made this in two hours… with a lot of Red Bull and vodka … and it took off on its own’. ‘What we’re working on right now is building sexual preferences. I personally am completely towards gay rights. We want to give everyone this awesome access to finding people who want to bang‘.
Critics will say that the application is ruining the crucial communication that takes place at the start of a relationship and that the application is promoting irresponsible sexual relationships, but the developers argue that sex ‘should be something you’re expressive about, that you’re comfortable with, and if there’s a beautiful woman or a handsome man that you’re interested in, you shouldn’t hold back.’ ‘We’re just giving you closer access to knowing the truth‘.
What do you think about Bang With Friends? Is it a stroke of pure genius for those who don’t want to sign up to internet dating sites or is it ruining the what could be the foundations of a healthy and sustainable relationship? Let me know in the comments section below.
