Bastille // Of The Night // Jam Of The Week

Jam of the Week Banner

It’s Jam of the Week time! Before we unveil this week’s Jam we’d like to congratulate our last Jam of the Week, Lorde for obtaining her first UK number one with her single Royals. The 16-year-old’s début album Pure Heroine hits the shops this week, we’ve had a listen to it and it’s well worth downloading. You can grab a copy from iTunes.

Moving on to this week our Jam comes from a band we’ve already featured as a Jam of the Week three times! Their debut album Bad Blood has already proved to be a huge success reaching number 1 in the album charts. We are of course talking about Bastille!

The track we’ve got our eye on this week comes from an extended version of Bad Blood due to be released in November. All This Bad Blood is a collection of everything Bastille have recorded in the past with a few new tracks thrown into the mix. One of these tracks is called Of The Night and when you listen to it below it will immediately sound familiar to you if you’ve seen Bastille on the festival circuit this year.

The track samples two great songs from the nineties, 1992’s Rhythm Is A Dancer by Snap! and 1993’s Rhythm Of The Night by Corona and the video was shot in LA with director Dave Ma.

So what do you think of our Jam of the Week, Of The Night? Let us know in the comments section below.

Of The Night is available to pre-order on iTunes. You can also pre-order yourself a copy of All This Bad Blood.

As a bonus we’ve embedded Snap’s Rhythm Is A Dancer and Corona’s Rhythm Of The Night for your listening pleasure.

We’ll be back next week with a new Jam.
