BBM Launched For iOS & Android
Blackberry this week finally got around to releasing versions of their popular messaging client Blackberry Messenger for iOS and Android. The free application allows users to communicate in ways they were probably already communicating in before, but introduces the Pokémon effect in that users have to trade pin numbers to be able to chat.
We published an article earlier this week explaining why people should stop using BBM and why by posting one of those ‘just got BBM add me 1MAD0UCH3′ status’ on the internet you look more desperate than Miley Cyrus trying to sell records by grinding on serial misogynist Robin Thicke. The Man Who Staged A Bomb Scare At His Own Wedding Was Jailed
Neil McArdle from Merseyside was sentenced to 12 months in prison this week after he called up Liverpool’s St George’s Hall in April with a bomb threat. McArdle had forgotten to book the venue and only realised his mistake on his wedding day. After seeing his bride Amy Williams ‘looking amazing’ McArdle panicked and made the call to buy himself more time. The venue was evacuated and police managed to trace the call and arrest McArdle the same day.
With the Boston Marathon bombings having taken place just 11 days before McArdle’s actions were exceptionally foolish, Judge Norman Wright saying ‘Having realised you hadn’t booked the wedding, you did nothing, and nothing, and nothing, and buried your head in the sand.’ ‘You didn’t say “We need to talk” and level with your bride. You tried to weasel your way out by creating a bomb hoax to give you more time.’
